DGO

The branch of the German Association for Eastern European Studies (DGO) in Düsseldorf has been managed by Prof. Dr. Anke Hilbrenner since 2022. 

The German Association for Eastern European Studies (DGO) is the largest German-speaking scientific organization for Central and Eastern Europe. It is the only institution that organizes the discourse of these disciplines in Germany across disciplines and countries. Since 1913 it has served as a renowned forum for scientific and journalistic discussion of political, economic and cultural developments in Eastern Europe and for dialogue between East and West.
