Exchange Project with Charles University Prague

Profile

The Prague Institute for German and Austrian Studies at Charles University was founded more than 25 years ago. For just as long, the exchange project between the universities of Düsseldorf and Prague, funded by theGerman Academic Exchange Service, has existed. Students in the interdisciplinary Master's programme German and Austrian Studies acquire knowledge of contemporary history, economics, politics, culture and the law of Germany and Austria. The project enables students, doctoral candidates and lecturers from Prague to spend time at HHU. Students and lecturers from Düsseldorf can also take the opportunity to travel to Prague.

Students from Düsseldorf with a Bachelor's degree or higher can go to Prague for a semester as an advanced training scholarship student. Here you will independently lead a German language workshop for students and support the department of German-Austrian Studies. Of course, you can also pursue your own research. The position is advertised every semester and the stay is paid.

Period: 1 October -- 31 January (winter semester) or 1 February -- 31 May (summer semester)
